2015 Witches & Witchcraft Reading Challenge Goals

December 17, 2014 Challenges 2

Witches&WitchcraftReadingChallenge_2015

I’m signing up for the Witches and Witchcraft Reading Challenge hosted by Melissa’s Eclectic Bookshelf. The rules are pretty straightforward; you can read them in full by clicking the link. Basically, you read full-length books featuring a witch as a main character or major elements of witchcraft, and link your reviews on Melissa’s blog. Challenge levels start as low as 1 book. I set my goal too high last year and didn’t make it, so this year I’m going for the Initiate level: 1 to 5 books. I’ll reassess midyear and maybe bump my challenge level higher.

I haven’t decided on any specific books yet, but here are a few I’m thinking about (pulled from Book Riot’s 75+ Of Your Favorite Novels Featuring Witchcraft): The Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern); one or more of the Dresden Files books (Jim Butcher); Witch Week (Diana Wynne Jones – if I can find a copy); Stolen Magic & Renegade Magic (Stephanie Burgess).

The challenge runs all year. If you’d like to sign up, click the button or link above!
