Existing Books

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (J.K. Rowling; illustrated by Jim Kay; UK edition)
  • Unbound and Revisionary (Magic Ex Libris series by Jim C. Hines; hardcover)
  • The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man’s Fear (Kingkiller Chronicle byPatrick Rothfuss; hardcover) — I have these in audiobook but I really want good hardcover copies to reread and refer to before the third book comes out (whenever that might be. It could be years…)
  • Congress of Secrets (Stephanie Burgis; paperback)
  • Den of Wolves (Blackthorn & Grim series by Juliet Marillier; hardcover)
  • Elite (Hunter series by Mercedes Lackey; Kindle edition) — I read book #1 as an ARC, but didn’t get approved for the sequel, and none of my libraries has it.

Forthcoming

I’d be very happy if someone preordered either of these for me! (I have already preordered or received ARCs of many of the January-thru-June titles I’m looking forward to, but not these two.)

      Rothfuss takes some getting into, but once the story really takes hold, wow! He’s an amazing writer. As for Wires & Nerve, I can hardly wait! I really love Iko.

      I probably shouldn’t have put Den of Wolves on the list, because I haven’t finished the first book in the series… but I want to. They’re really good. And I got the first illustrated HP book last year, so naturally, I have to complete the set as they come available! (Seriously, they are so gorgeous, it’s worth having even if you already own the HP books.)

      I love Jim Kay’s illustrations in the first book; I’m really looking forward to having the whole collection. (Even though I already own them all in hardcover with the Mary GrandPre covers.)
