These are my favorites among the over 20 authors I read for the first time this year. I know I’ll be following their books and series in the future!

Susanna Kearsley! This year will forever be known as the year that I got around to most of her backlist 😀 (the only reason she didn’t end up on my list this week was because I first read one of her books years ago and only got around to the rest recently) Was pleasantly surprised how much I loved Named of the Dragon (review won’t come up until next year though), I wasn’t quite sure what to expect I suppose…

Great list! Yay for Garth Nix too 🙂 I haven’t read anything by Sabrina Jeffries but I keep seeing her name crop up in the historical romance section…

I really, really want to read more Susanna Kearsley — and lucky me, I have about 5 of her books on my Kindle that I’ve picked up through the year, as they’ve gone on sale. 🙂

Loretta Ross was on my list too! I can’t wait to read the next book! I love Sabrina Jeffries and Heather Graham and am really looking forward to trying Susanna Kearsley and Tasha Alexander. Thanks for the reminder about Murder at Barclay Meadow! I have it and have been wanting to read it but it kind of got buried under newer books.

So many great authors listed here! I have only read two from your list: Heather Graham and Susanna Kearsley, and both are authors I really enjoy reading too. You list authors I want to read like Sabrina Jeffries and Tasha Alexander just for starters.

Yay for Tasha Alexander! I’m ashamed to say that I still need to read “The Adventuress.” I have it checked out from the library but it somehow keeps getting pushed back in the queue! I feel positive that whenever I FINALLY read something by Susanna Kearsely, she will become one of my favorite authors too. There are a few books on your list I haven’t heard of but the covers have caught my eye… maybe I’ll find a 2016 favorite among them! 😉

I’ve read the first two Tasha Alexander books, and the most recent two — so I need to catch up on the middle ones! Kearsley is certainly becoming a favorite of mine.

Susannah Kearsely is one of my favorite authors! I especially like her book The Shadowy Horses; and Castles at Summer Auburn by Sharon Shinn is one my favorite books. (Although I haven’t always like her other books.) Great list! 🙂

I’ve only read two Kearsley books so far: A Desperate Fortune and Named of the Dragon. But I’m looking forward to reading a lot more!
