Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List (2014)

June 17, 2014 Top Ten Tuesday 12

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week’s topic is Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR List.

There’s a little overlap with my Summer 2014 Vacation Reads post, but to keep it from being a total duplication of that post, I’ve limited my Summer 2014 TBR List to books published in late May, June, July, or August. (Most of these are forthcoming books.)  I didn’t limit the number, though – there are more than 10. I just couldn’t narrow it down any further!

Ooh such interesting choices! It’s been ages since I read anything by Richelle Mead, but I’ve loved her books. Can’t wait to see what you think of all these 🙂

I did review the first book in the Game of X series last year; it was interesting but moved somewhat slowly at first. It really stayed with me, though, and I realized I’ve got to read the second book and find out what happens next.

I have Blood Red on my wishlist. None of the cozies are i=on my wishlist but they all look good; maybe after I read your reviews. That’s a nice mix of books, I hope you get to them and enjoy them.

I’m really interested in The Book of Life even though I’m not the biggest fantasy reader. I’m dying to read all the mysteries but so far the only one I’ve got is Mission to Murder. I have the Balogh and Woods from romance and I’m really looking forward to your reviews for the Putney and the Carr as they’re both authors I’ve heard a lot about but have never read. Great list! I love the cover for the Prime Minster’s Secret Agent!

I have an ARC of Mission to Murder but haven’t gotten to read it yet. How did you like it? I’m also really excited because I just got approved for an ARC of The Book of Life – can’t wait to start it!

You’ve got some great books on your list, Lark. I still need to read Shadow of Night and I’m looking forward to your review of Child of a Hidden Sea before I decide to buy it. The Escape is on my list. I need to check out some of your other books, too, Lark! Have fun reading these.

Thanks for tagging me – that sounds like fun! I’ll try to get to it this week or next. Oh, and I’d love to read your review of Alias Hook, as it will be a while before I get to it.

P.S. Sorry it took me so long to reply — I thought I’d replied to all the comments on this post, but I’ve been behind and must have missed this one! Mea culpa, and deepest apologies.
