If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you know I’m a big fan of Emily March’s “Eternity Springs” series. I started reading them when there were only three or four books in the series, and I’ve been reading them faithfully ever since. So I was delighted to be invited to join the blog tour!
The First Kiss of Spring is the 14th book in the series. We’re more-or-less on the second generation of Eternity Springs couples now. A few of the earlier books dealt with couples who were in their late 30s to 40s; they had adult or nearly-adult children when their own books took place. Some of those children are now mature adults, ready for their own HEA (or trying to avoid it, as the case may be.) Caitlin Timberlake is Ali and Mac’s daughter (Heartache Falls) and Chase’s sister (Reunion Pass.) We met Josh Tarkington in A Stardance Summer; he’s Brick Callahan’s foster brother.
The sense of community and the way previous characters continue to show up throughout the books is one of the things I love most about this series. Put that together with a beautiful small-town Colorado setting and Emily March’s sure touch with all kinds of relationships—family and friendship as well as romance—and you’ll see why this has become an autobuy series for me.

Thanks for sharing this spotlight! I like these kinds of posts because we get so much more info than just a review. I think I’ve read the first two of the Eternity Springs series, if it’s one that involves a veterinarian. I need to revisit this town, so good to know there’s a long backlist 🙂

I really enjoyed this and I love the sense of community that March builds. Caitlin’s father drove me crazy with his attitude but maybe that’s because I didn’t read their book. I need to add that one to my TBR.

If you read Ali and Mac’s book, you’ll discover some of why Caitlin’s dad is a bit… overprotective. He mentions his past in this one, but not enough to really explain.

Yes, I’ve been reading this series for years now. She usually introduces at least one of a future “couple” a book or two before the one in which they star. In this case, we’ve seen Caitlin in several books, and Josh in the previous book. And there’s a relatively minor character in this one who will probably be the hero in the next book.
