Actually, I don’t agree with this sentiment at all—but I find it highly amusing that people have believed the world was going downhill as far back as ancient Rome. And it’s a riot that Cicero thought that lots of people writing books was evidence of times being “bad.”

    I can’t believe how many book-to-movie adaptations are coming out this year! It seems like an awful lot. I haven’t read a lot of them, but I’m excited to read and see Ready Player One this year.

    Lots of interesting things to check out. I can imagine that the Library of Congress had to stop saving every tweet. Can’t even imagine that job!

      I know—it rather surprised me that they were archiving ALL of them. But of course, a lot fewer people were tweeting in the beginning…

      I think the ratio of meaningful to silly tweets was higher in the early days of Twitter, particularly insofar as it was used to report news or organize protests.
