Happy Easter!
It has been the strangest Holy Week I can remember. Instead of attending Mass and singing in the choir, we’ve been livestreaming services wherever we can find them. Instead of singing my heart out until I’m practically hoarse by Sunday morning, I’ve had to make do with YouTube recordings. But the joy and the promise of the Resurrection come regardless of where we are.
So if you are celebrating Easter today, or will be celebrating it next week, I wish you a joyful and a blessed Easter. And if you celebrate Passover, are preparing for Ramadan, have already celebrated Ostara, or simply enjoy the spring, I wish you joy and blessing as well. Wherever you are, in whatever circumstances you find yourself, I hope you find grace and beauty in this day, and in the week to come.

What I’m Reading/Watching
Reading: I continued my reread of the Hathaways series with Married By Morning. I also read Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston; I dipped into it on impulse and surfaced a couple of hours later, already 70% of the way through. I hope to get a review written soon, though honestly, I’ve been having a tough time writing reviews lately. I started rereading Swallows and Amazons for the COYER Quarantine Edition Swept Away readathon, and Close Up so I can write the review. I read it back in March, and it was fun, but all the details are gone. Welcome to quarantine-brain! (Click titles to view book on Goodreads.)
Listening: I’m still listening (again) to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Watching: I started rewatching the Lord Peter Wimsey series starring Ian Carmichael, beginning with Clouds of Witness.

Kindle (all on sale): The Hills Have Spies; The Vanishing. I have actually read both of these, but the former was a library book and the latter was an ARC. I enjoy rereading both these authors, so I grabbed both books when the Kindle version went on sale.

The joy of the Resurrection does come even when you can’t attend church. My church has been cancelled for several weeks now and I really miss it, but at least they can’t cancel out our faith, hope or prayers. Happy Easter!! 😀

Happy Easter. I am glad your church is practicing social distancing, as are ours and our families in different states. My in-laws have been enjoying the online services and choirs.

Like you, I wasn’t able to celebrate Mass in person and tried to find lots of streaming services. Sadly, my singing voice which used to be outstanding if I do say myself(lol) was minimal, but I managed with a few tunes. I’d love to hear about that. I’m a trained singer, and my voice has been losing control, range, and quality over the last few years, probably due to hormonal changes during the last stages of perimenopause. It’s discouraging. Thank you for the hugs, and right back at you!

Happy Easter! It was weird here as well but mostly because there were tornado warnings for most of the day! I think the Hathaways are the best family to spend the quarantine with. I’m regretting not getting the whole set for a reread – not that I’m hurting for reading choices. Have a lovely week!
