April 10, 2022 Sunday Post 4

The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!

This Week

I am between indexing projects this week, so I spent some time catching up on various things. I updated my 2022 Reading Challenges page and my Goodreads “books read” for the year to date, making sure that everything was recorded and I had tagged all the challenge books properly. I also dealt with some work-related, fiber-guild-related, and finance-related stuff, scheduled a few appointments, and set up my April planner pages (as much as I can ahead of time. Some of the daily pages get filled in a day or two in advance, as things slip or I add new to-do items.) I even got some mending done.

I also got more exercise than I have in months, walking on the treadmill and going out for a few walks when the weather cooperated.

What I’ve Been Reading/Watching

Reading: I read Complementary (Celia Lake), then went on to read Shadow in the Glass, the second Greer Hogan mystery by M. E. Hilliard (ARC.)

Listening to: I finished Index, a History of The (Dennis Duncan) and The Secret Adversary, my substitute book for #ReadChristie2022. (April’s prompt is “Featuring adventure,” and the suggested title is Why Didn’t They Ask Evans?, but I reread that book in January.) I also listened to some podcasts, mostly The Allusionist.

Watching: The Martian, and The Great Tours: England, Scotland, and Wales (The Great Courses.)

Added to the Hoard this week

Purchased (Kindle, print, or audio)

I made up for last week’s excesses and only bought one book this week: Ink and Shadows (Ellery Adams) on Kindle. (Click title for Goodreads page.)

Stay safe, stay healthy, stay kind… and may you find books a haven in the coming weeks.

I was in a used bookstore this past week and was looking at the Ellery Adams books, they did not have the one I wanted so I did not get any (I have not read her yet either). Have a great week!

Sounds like a good week! I’m trying to get back into the habit of exercising. I was doing really well but the last time Will was hospitalized I kind of fell off the wagon and just haven’t gotten back on my routine. I read the first book in one of Ellery Adams’ series not that long ago and really loved it. I hope you have a great week!
