Last Week

Rehearsals start next Sunday for the spring concert, so I’ve been busy with preparations for that. And I have an indexing project, so there’s plenty to do. In fact, this coming week looks so packed that I may not be able to get any reviews written… but I posted three since last Sunday, which felt good.

I ordered a blending board (for fiber prep) and it arrived on Wednesday. I couldn’t resist playing with it a little bit, and made my first rolags. I’ll show you the results when I spin these up. Neither colorway will make very much yarn; I was working with leftover scraps of fiber, just to learn gain experience. What I’m Reading/Watching

Reading: I read Tucker (ARC). I reread Nora Roberts’s Guardians Trilogy for the 4th time: Stars of Fortune (reviewed in 2017), Bay of Sighs, and Island of Glass. I started both A Murderous Relation (ARC) and To Ride Pegasus (a reread.) And I’m still slowly working my way through Decluttering at the Speed of Life (Dana K. White, not pictured.) Listening: I had been listening to Shades of Milk and Honey by Mary Robinette Kowal, but I didn’t listen to it at all this week. Or anything else, for that matter.

Watching: Picard (season 1) and Warehouse 13 (season 3.)

  • Rise of Magicks — used hardcover. I spotted this at the library bookstore, and grabbed it. It’s in pristine condition and looks brand-new, though I’m sure it’s been read once.
  • Angel in a Devil’s Arms — Kindle. I’ve really enjoyed this series, so even though I read the ARC (belated review to come), I’m likely to reread it. So when it went on sale, I bought it.
  • Grave Peril (Dresden Files) — Kindle

    Nora Roberts is definitely an author I have reread many times.. (been a while now though).. and you also have Lisa Kleypas and Sabrina Jeffries! Which means I am going to check out the other books you have mentioned as well 🙂

    Ooo, those rolled bits of yarn remind me of worms or caterpillars. Cool. To Ride Pegasus, I haven’t read that in years. My paperback (several decades old) has a very different cover; I almost didn’t recognize yours at first. Close Up looks good, enjoy! Good luck with the concert rehearsal and preparations.
