Books I Hope Santa Brings Me (2020 header)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme was originally the brainchild of The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Books I Hope Santa Brings.

Books I Hope Santa Brings

There aren’t a lot of books on my Christmas wish list this year. That’s partly due to the fact that the pandemic blues messed with my reading habits: I did a lot of rereading, so I ended up with a fair number of ARCs that I still need to read. It’s also partly due to the fact that our physical bookshelves are full to overflowing. Before I get a bunch more books, I need to prune some of the ones I have.

That said, there are some books I hope Santa (or someone!) gives me, either in Kindle or in print.

What’s on your wish list this holiday?

The series looks utterly charming, and I am heavily into both tea and dragons as well as fantasy in general, so it’s kind of like catnip for me: irresistible.

I hope some of these were under your tree! Catherine Aird is an author I’m really hoping to read more of in 2021. I’ve really enjoyed what I’ve read but it hasn’t been nearly enough.

They were! Mr. Bookwyrm gave me the two Jane Austen books, one of the Catherine Airds (in Kindle), and a beautifully preserved vintage copy of The Dean’s Watch by Elizabeth Goudge, one of my all-time favorite authors. I still have an Amazon gift certificate from my birthday, so I might buy one or two of the other books on my wish list. I hope Santa brought you some great books, too!
