Books On My Spring TBR

March 20, 2018 Top Ten Tuesday 17

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme was originally the brainchild of The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Books On My Spring TBR.

Books On My Spring TBR

Review Books

These are all review copies of forthcoming books (or in one case, recently released); they’re listed in order of publication date. I need to read all of these before the official start of summer (June 21.) There are other books I want to read from my own collection, or from the library, but these have to take precedence.

  1. Tess of the Road (Rachel Hartman)
  2. Bellewether (Susanna Kearsley)
  3. Circe (Madeline Miller)
  4. The Underwater Ballroom Society (anthology)
  5. The Rose Legacy (Jessica Day George)
  6. Someone to Care (Mary Balogh) (Westcott #4)
  7. The Other Lady Vanishes (Amanda Quick) (Burning Cove #2)
  8. First Time at Firelight Falls (Julie Anne Long) (Hellcat Canyon #4)
  9. Island of the Mad (Laurie R. King) (Mary Russell & Sherlock Holmes #15)
  10. Rainy Day Friends (Jill Shalvis) (Wildstone #3)

What’s on your TBR this spring?

I love the whole idea behind The Underwater Ballroom Society! And I’m looking forward to Bellewether. I got to hear Susanna Kearsley talking about the book a couple of years ago when she was in the middle of writing it.

Aaaghh, I want to read Circe so bad!! I’ve been watching people get ARCs for a while, and have been slowly dying of jealousy. The Song of Achilles is one of the few books in recent years that actually made me cry… I’m already a fan of the mythology of Circe, so I know I’m going to just weep. 🙂

I was really excited to get that one, although I haven’t read Song of Achilles (because I know it will make me cry, and I haven’t been up for that recently.) I hope you’re able to get hold of a copy soon!

The Underwater Ballroom Society *nods* that looks so unique, I can’t wait to see the actual book! The Rose Legacy looks great, between the cover and the fact that it’s a Jessica Day George. And Circe has me really curious!

The Rose Legacy is on my TBR as Tuesdays at the Castle was probably one of my favorite reads of 2017 and Mary Balogh is always a good idea! I need to catch up on the Laurie R. King series. I’ve been thinking about cashing in audible credits and getting the whole series to listen to from the beginning. That Amanda Quick looks really fun though I need to read the last one first. So many great looking books! I hope you enjoy them all – with those authors I’d say chances are pretty higher!
