I’m joining the Cruisin’ Thru the Cozies challenge again! I had so much fun with this last year, and I enjoy reading cozy mysteries anyway, so deciding to repeat the challenge in 2014 was pretty much of a no-brainer. This year, my goal is Super Sleuth again: reading 13 to 20 cozies. Yvonne is pretty relaxed about what constitutes a cozy, so some of the historical mysteries I read will count toward the challenge. I’ve already read one cozy and written the review (A Dark and Stormy Knit will post on 1/15/14), so I’m off to a good start!
Here are a few of the books I hope to read for the challenge this year. I’m keeping my options open, though — I’m sure to add other titles and probably won’t get to all of these!
- A Dark and Stormy Knit, by Anne Canadeo – Black Sheep Knitting Mystery #6. I’d like to go back and read some of the earlier books if I have time.
- Heirs of the Body, by Carola Dunn – the newest Daisy Dalrymple mystery
- Killing Cupid, by Laura Levine
- An Air of Treason, by P. F. Chisolm
- A Taste Fur Murder, by Dixie Lyle
- Banquet of Lies, by Michelle Diener
- Pagan Spring, by G. M. Malliet – Max Tudor #3
- Knot What It Seams, by Elizabeth Spann Craig – Southern Quilting Mystery #2
- Thread and Buried, by Janet Brolin
- Going Through the Notions, by Cate Price – Deadly Notions #1
- Read It and Weep, by Jenn McKinlay – Library Lovers #4. (I’d also like to give her other 2 series a try.)
- In the Bleak Midwinter, by Julia Spencer-Fleming – Claire Fergusson #1. This series is not exactly cozy, so I’m not sure if I’ll count it. I’ve also got book 8, Through the Evil Days, which I won from Goodreads.
- Deborah Crombie’s incredible Duncan Kincaid and Gemma James series. I’ve read books 1 through 8, which leaves me 5 more to go.
- Charles Finch’s Charles Lenox historical mysteries. I read book 7 and really enjoyed it, so I’d like to go back for books 1-6.
- And if I can find them, Annette Blair’s Vintage Magic series, of which I’ve only read book 1.
- Forthcoming:
- Aunt Dimity and the Wishing Well, by Nancy Atherton – Aunt Dimity #19, April 2014
- The Prime Minister’s Secret Agent, by Susan Elia MacNeal – Maggie Hope #4, July 2014
- Muffin But Murder, by Victoria Hamilton – Merry Muffins #2, July 2014
- Yarn Over Murder, by Maggie Sefton – Knitting Mystery #12, June 2014
- Queen of Hearts, by Rhys Bowen – Royal Spyness series, Aug. 2014

Oh I see some titles on your list that intrigue me. I’ll be looking forward to your reviews.
