The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!
I am also linking to Mailbox Monday, the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week, and to Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality
This Week
After a long, hard push driving cross-country, we arrived at my dad and stepmom’s house midweek. I’ve been hanging out with them while Mr. Bookwyrm teleworks. I’m also trying to catch up on lost sleep, missed reading time, and the blog (at least a little.) You’ll notice that I did manage to get a review written and posted this week! On the knitting front, I finished one hat on the drive, and I’m about a third of the way through another, but I didn’t knit in the car as much as I had planned.
The plan is to head to our nephew’s wedding next, then visit Robin and my other set of parents before heading home. With the wedding festivities, I may or may not have time to put together a post for next Sunday, but I’ll try to catch up a bit the following week.

What I’ve Been Reading/Watching
Reading: I finished rereading On the Bias by Celia Lake, then read With All Due Speed, a novella set in the same world. (It’s a recent freebie for Ms. Lake’s newsletter subscribers, and doesn’t have a Goodreads page yet. I’ll try to set one up this week.) I finished up the week with Sleep No More by Jayne Ann Krentz (ARC.)
Listening to: the Circle of Magic quartet (Tamora Pierce), for the third or fourth time. I’m on book three, Daja’s Book. While we were driving, we listened to Andy Serkis narrating The Fellowship of the Ring; we got through the Old Forest, but not quite to the barrow-wights.
Watching: Nothing.

Love the Lord of the Rings trilogy (and only the trilogy lol) but have never checked the books (I know, I know). Your post has given me the idea that maybe audio book is the way to go.

Sounds like you have a fun week ahead! Congrats to the happy couple!

I hope you have a safe and healthy trip with great family time. I find I don’t get much done when raveling other than listening to some audiobooks.

Sounds like you’re having some nice recovery time mixed with family time. I got the Jayne Ann Krentz but haven’t started it yet. I’m so looking forward to it! I listened to The Secret Life of Mary Bennett a month or two ago and enjoyed it though it wasn’t a favorite. I’ll be curious to see what you think of it. Have a great week!

I hope you have a good time with all your family. I never seem to knit or crochet as much as I want to in the car either. I usually end up falling asleep if I’m a passenger.
