The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!
Last Week
In real life: It’s been a quiet week, and I didn’t had a lot of energy for much of the week, for some reason. (Physical or mental.) It’s been grey and wet and chilly most of the week, but I took a brief walk midweek and another yesterday, when the sun was shining. I picked up a grocery order and my library holds. I baked a batch of banana bread, made some quiches, and spent an entire day updating my business website. I finished knitting another charity hat and started yet another. At this point, I could probably knit them in my sleep!
Mr. Bookwyrm and I celebrated a quiet Valentine’s Day with cards, chocolates and a mini cheesecake sampler, and he brought me lovely roses.
I was delighted to read that the HarperCollins union has voted to ratify the agreement reached via mediation. On a personal level, it means I don’t have to redact HarperCollins titles and book covers anymore… although truth be told, I only held a few. But it does mean I need to get busy on a few reviews I haven’t written yet!
Writing accountability: I didn’t write at all this week, darn it. (See aforementioned lack of mental energy.) My writing goal for February is 10,000 words, or about 360 words per day. Word count so far this month: 1524. I am 4956 words behind schedule. Not an impossible gap, but closing it is going to be challenging.

What I’ve Been Reading/Watching
Reading: I finished Three Can Keep a Secret by M. E. Hilliard (ARC) and Bound for Perdition by Celia Lake. I’m still reading How to Keep House While Drowning by K.C. Davies. I’m also rereading Partners In Crime by Agatha Christie. I plan to start Unraveling by Peggy Orenstein as soon as I finish the Davies book.
Listening to: I finished Hounded (Kevin Hearne; read by Luke Daniels) for the Iron Druid readathon. Now I’m back to The Return of the King, which I paused while I was listening to Hounded. I’m also listening to Season 4 of the Writing Excuses podcast.
Playing: Wordle, the NYT Spelling Bee, Sudoku, Carcassone (app), and Pokemon Go. I play them occasionally, not every day.
Watching: I am almost finished with Season 1 of A Discovery of Witches. We also started Season 3 of All Creatures Great and Small, and watched a nature documentary and a historical documentary on the Princes in the Tower.

I am so thrilled that HarperCollins has an agreement. A quiet week is a good thing in my book. I’m thinking about hiding out this week instead of facing car maintenance, taxes and computer repair. Those all take mental energy. I’m so excited to have you with us on the IDC Read-along! I found out all 3 shorts are available on audio after all.

The weather plays havoc with my energy levels and hope your is something similar and will improve. I was glad about the HarperCollins agreement. I know many authors who finally got their covers, which were held up.

I’m sure the strike is a relief for everyone — especially the striking workers!

I am so happy about the HarperCollins strike news. It’s been going on for way too long, and I’m glad they got a deal they could agree on.
A Coup of Tea sounds really good! I have it on my TBR too, though I’m not sure when I’ll pick up the book and read it.
