The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures – I mean books!
My Week
I got a new indexing job this week, and we’re heading towards concert season, so I’m going to be a very busy bee for the next few weeks. I’m still trying to get ahead on the blog, too, without much success. Weatherwise, we finally got some snow – 8 inches or so on Monday night! Mr. Bookwyrm’s place of work closed, so we just hunkered down for a nice quiet snow day. Well, except for the almost 2 hours it took him to dig out half the driveway.
We’ve started watching Agent Carter! Unfortunately, the first episode was gone from Hulu by the time we started, but we’re nearly caught up now except for the most recent episode. I really hope ABC doesn’t cancel the show; it’s good, and I love that they were able to get some of the same actors from Captain America to reprise their roles (Peggy Carter, Stark, even some of the Howling Commandos.)
This weekend I seem to have come down with a bug. Nothing serious, but a really persistent headache along with body aches and watery, itchy eyes. So please forgive me if it takes a while to get to your comments and your Sunday Posts!

I will be curious to see what you think of Never to Late. I adore Carr as you know but struggle with her standalone novels. Never heard of Agent Carter..will take a look later today.

I’ve liked some of Carr’s standalones but not gotten into others, but I peeked into this one and think I will enjoy it. Agent Carter is in the Marvel Avenger’s universe – it’s what Peggy Carter (from Captain America) does after Steve’s “death”, so it’s set in the 1940s. And she is kick-a**! It’s well-written and a lot of fun.

All of your books look so good! I’ve been wanting to read Connie Archer’s series for awhile and have them in my TBR. The Robyn Carr books are always good.
I haven’t watched Agent Carter but the commercials look good.
Hope you have a great week!

I need to read the first two Connie Archer books. I read A Roux of Revenge and really liked it. So far Ladle to the Grave is good, too.
Bea @Bea's Book Nook
Oh, I hope you feel better! And your poor husband, two hours to do half the driveway. Yikes. 🙁
Ladle to the Grave has such a pretty cover! And several people got Book Scavenger. I’m curious to see what people think of it.
Have a great week!

It’s a longish driveway, and there was a fair bit of snow! I’m reading Ladle to the Grave now, and peeked into Book Scavenger – it looks fun.
Laurel-Rain Snow
Never Too Late looks good to me…hope you enjoy all your new books, and I hope the bug goes away.

You got Book Scavenger!!! I’m so excited about that one. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling a bit under the weather but hopefully you’ll be on the mend soon. I’m anxious to see what you thought of Ladle to the Grave. That was my first Connie Archer. Have a great week and stay warm!

I did, and so did you! Yay! I liked Ladle to the Grave, though… the ending felt a little contrived, maybe?
Catherine @ Book Club Librarian
You’re showing so many books that I want to read this week. Hope you enjoy them all and feel better soon. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Me too! I usually enjoy Carr, so probably. 🙂

We got snow last week, too. Not quite as much as you did, but still beautiful. We enjoyed watching the snow and the birds from inside as did our cats! I hope you feel better soon. No fun when you’re not feeling 100%.
Good luck with your time since it sounds kind of crunched right now. I watched the first week of Agent Carter and liked it a lot, but somehow it fell through the cracks. We didn’t record it. Maybe we’ll be able to watch it later.
I hope you’re able to get some fun reading done this week.

I’m doing a lot better today, thank you! If you check Hulu, you should be able to catch some of the Agent Carter episodes there. Or you can always wait until it comes out on DVD (and maybe streaming via Netflix or Amazon Prime.)
Red Iza
I haven’t had the opportunity to watch Agent Carter yet but would love to. We’ve had some snow here, but nothing lasting… I hope you’ll be getting better soon, take care 😉
