The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
It was another quiet week here in Lake Woebegone… no, wait, that’s someone else’s story.
It was another quiet week here on Lake Morrison*, with very little going on. Next week will be much busier, as our church choir prepares and sings for Holy Week. Beginning with this morning’s Palm Sunday service, I’ll be at church for either rehearsals or services every day this week except Monday — or maybe I should say, every night this week, culminating with the Easter vigil on Saturday night and the Easter morning services next Sunday. It’s the busiest week of the year for church musicians, and my favorite after Christmas week. There’s just so much wonderful and moving music written for this season!
To my Christian friends, may you have a blessed Holy Week! To my Jewish friends, Chag Sameach as you celebrate Pesach! And to all my friends of any faith or none at all, I wish you a week of lovely spring weather and beautiful spring flowers — and no allergies!
*Not its real name, but there is a lake across the street from our house. Pity we can’t see it from the house!
