May 19, 2019 Sunday Post 11

The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!

Just a quick note…

Hi, everyone! Just a drive-by post to say things have been busy with work, and I’m more than swamped at the moment, which is why I haven’t been around. I’ve also got a brand-new-release review coming up this week (come check it out!), and I want to focus on that, so I’m going to keep today’s post brief, and catch up more thoroughly next Sunday.

The concert I directed last weekend went very well, and as always, I was so proud of “my” kids! A cold laid me low the week before, and I was still a bit congested last week, but I’m feeling better now. I did some spinning while I was sick, and some knitting, and a fair bit of reading (mostly old favorites and audiobooks), all of which I’ll tell you about next week.

Now I’ve got to go to bed so I can get two days of work done tomorrow…

For Review or Review Consideration

Many thanks to the author for a review copy! It comes out Thursday, May 23, is currently available for preorder on Kindle, and there’s a paperback coming soon. And yes, it’s good.

Have a great week, and happy reading!

I’m glad the concert was a success, I can’t believe you were still functioning with a cold!
I look forward to reading your review.
Hope you have a great week and enjoy your reads. x

I’ll be working all Memorial Day weekend, too! 🙁 But I have a vacation coming in mid-June, and we’ll be pretty much out of range of Internet and cell phones, so it should be a nice break. 🙂

I miss going to my son’s concerts so much I still go the the area’s Youth Symphony concerts. He graduated from a performing arts high school, but he hasn’t performed since. I am patiently waiting for grandchildren. Ha ha. ?

I’ll drop by your review. ?✨

I hope you had a wonderful week. ?

I know what you mean. I miss hearing Robin play the violin. They haven’t played much since a few years into college (due in part to an RSI of the wrist.) At least I still get to sing in church choir with Robin when we are visiting.
