The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, a post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
It’s Mother’s Day, and the concert is tonight! We had a great rehearsal yesterday. My singers are ready, the accompanists are ready, I’m ready… I just know they’re going to be terrific!
I got very little done this week outside of indexing and getting ready for the concert. I didn’t even do much reading, because I had a horrible cold for most of the week; when I wasn’t working, I was sleeping. One thing that suffered was replying to comments, let along visiting everyone’s blogs. Please be patient – I’ll catch up soon, I promise.
Wishing all you moms out there a very happy Mother’s Day! I hope that all of you will be spending the day with your mother or your children (or both!) I’ll be calling my mom and stepmother this afternoon. My mom & stepdad are picking our daughter ‘Robin’ up from college today to spend a week with our family out West. As for me, I’ll be officially celebrating Mother’s Day in a few weeks, once ‘Robin’ is home. Meanwhile, tonight I’ll be the proud director of a whole flock of talented young people. I am truly blessed!

Sorry to hear you weren’t well this week. Hope your concert goes well, and that you have a great week – it looks like you’ve got some brilliant books.

Thank you! The concert was terrific; I was really proud of “my” kids. If I couldn’t be with our daughter, it was a great way to spend Mother’s Day.

The Tea Shop on Lavender Lane is calling my name! I may have to see if I can get it.
Good luck with the concert and I hope your cold clears up soon. Seems like lots of bloggers have colds recently. 🙁

It’s a great title, isn’t it? Makes me think of England, but in fact, I think it’s set in Oregon or Washington state. I read the first book in the series and thought it was fun. This is the fourth or fifth book, and follows up with one of the sisters from the first one. I am curious to see where things go!

Happy belated Mother’s Day Lark! I’m looking forward to your reviews this week, especially the Death Runs Adrift tour stop. I hope you enjoy your new books, I;ve been meaning to try Laurie R. King for years and I’m hoping my hold of her book The Bee Keeper’s Apprentice comes in soon.

Hope your feeling better. I got sick on mother’s day and ended up at the doctor’s on Tuesday. I have pneumonia and it sucks. I have zero strength and well i am siting here having a huge pity party for myself. LOL Hope your week is amazing!

Oh, Kimba, that’s awful! Yes, it does suck. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you get better soon. (Mine’s just a cold, and I’m doing better, just still congested is all.) Get plenty of rest, and please take care of yourself!
