My first Avon Addicts box arrived!

September 2, 2015 Miscellany 10

And it is full of goodies! Yes, that’s the entire Pennyroyal Green series by Julie Anne Long on the right. (Well, except for the tenth and final book in the series, due out this fall/winter.) And Tessa Dare’s recently-released When a Scot Ties the Knot, which is charming. And several more enticing titles! Plus a collapsible water bottle and a USB adapter.

September Avon Addicts box!

September Avon Addicts box!

Notice the stack of Playing Dirty by HelenKay Dimon on the left? I’ll be giving away a few of those on the blog, so stay tuned. It’s the first in a hot romantic-suspense series and features an undercover agent who gets a little too close to his target – or rather, the cousin of his target. I plan to give one or two to the local library, but I’ll definitely do a giveaway here.

Thank you, Avon!

I asked my library about donating one of the Dimon books, and they said they couldn’t guarantee that it would get put into circulation. Ridiculous. I plan to do it giveaway for some of them, and my mom actually asked for one, which kind of surprised me because it isn’t her usual romance fare; she usually gravitates toward historical romance. And I’ll check with my other local library system.

I was so excited, I was dancing in the living room! I like Tessa Dare, she’s a lot of fun. And I’m looking forward to trying Julie Anne Long.

It’s going to take me a while to get through all of them, because I have so many other books to read. Otherwise, I would probably go on a month-long binge!

Your box and books look great! Interesting to read the various comments about libraries, I hope there’s another library system near you that would accept a book for circulation!

I was really surprised at that, because it seems like a win for the library, but I realize they have limited shelf space. More to the point, perhaps, the cataloging positions have been cut back due to budget cuts so they are often behind in cataloging new releases.
