September Books I’m Excited About
The Harp of Kings by Juliet Marillier (9/03/2019) – Marillier is a fantastic writer of richly-imagined fantasy, best known for her Sevenwaters series. Many of her books are set in an early-medieval analog of Ireland, where magic is real and Christianity is either absent or just gaining a foothold. The Harp of Kings begins a new series, which ties in loosely with the Blackthorn and Grim novels. I’ll be honest; I’ve already read this, and it’s good.
Other September Books I’m Looking Forward To
- Once a Spy by Mary Jo Putney (9/24/2019)
- Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis (9/24/2019)
- Coming Home for Christmas by RaeAnne Thayne (9/24/2019)
I swear, the holiday romances come out earlier and earlier every year! And that Putney cover is simply gorgeous! (It’s not a holiday romance, as far as I know.)
What are you looking forward to reading this month?

I’ve seen Jill Shalvis’ books around a lot but haven’t tried one yet. Love how all the Christmas books are starting to be released, haha!

I’d rather read Christmas or holiday books in November and December, but I’ll be reading some of them earlier, because I got review copies.

The Harp of Kings looks good. There are so many books on my tbr, I really don’t know which one I’m reading next.

I know; I have the same problem! Way too many books on my TBR. Plus, I love to reread, so half the time, I choose a book I’ve read before instead of a new one… which doesn’t help me reduce the TBR pile much!
