The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.
I spent most of the week getting my hindquarters kicked by my current indexing project. OK, it’s not that bad — the book itself is interesting — but it’s very long and every concept is related to at least three others, so it’s challenging to index. And I wish I had at least another week… but that will be the week my daughter is on spring break, and I’d rather not be working while she’s here. So I will be working a lot this week while my husband is on travel. I’ve got a few reviews saved up for this week and next, but don’t expect to see me around the blogosphere much. Sorry! I’ll miss you guys, and I’ll be back in a week or two, I promise.
I am taking some time out from working over the weekend. Mr. Bookwyrm took me to a Kathy Mattea concert in D.C. last night. She was wonderful! And my choruses start rehearsing this afternoon for the spring concert. I’ve been missing my kids, and I can’t wait to get started.
Last week on the blog:

Fangirl is such a wonderful book! Enjoy! 🙂
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Thank you! Not sure when I’ll get to it, but I’m looking forward to it.

Hi, I’m an ex-teen blogger too (just read your Gender in Fiction post…), Sayin’ hi to your cute, hmm, dragon? 🙂
I didn’t know there was a novella version of The Dead Man Folly. And I call myself a huge Christie fan…
Looking forward to exploring more of your blog!
Have a great week :).
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
Dragon, bookwyrm… he’ll answer to either! As for the Christie, it’s not really Dead Man’s Folly, but a short story she wrote for a local charity. Though she may have reused a general plot line; she did that once in a while.
And welcome to The Bookwyrm’s Hoard!
Sandy Farmer
Good luck on your project. Oh I’m so jealous that you got Fangirl! I loved Eleanor & Park. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you, Sandy. I’m still slogging through the project, so I won’t get to Fangirl for a bit, but I’ve heard such wonderful things about it!

I really need to dive into my Dark Witch, resting comfortably on Sparky (Kindle). Especially since the second book is coming soon!
Enjoy your week…and here’s MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
I preordered the second book, after deciding I couldn’t wait for the library copy. I had actually already read the library copy of Dark Witch, but when it went on sale for $2.99 for Kindle, I snatched it. It’s the sort of book I may want to re-read, especially by the time book 3 comes out next winter.

Oh, Kathy Mattea! I’m jealous. Maybe I’ll pull out her CD and listen to it today.
You got lots of yummy books, I hope you enjoy them and good luck with the indexing project.

She is so amazing. An incredible voice, and the sensitivity to interpret songs in a way that really hits home.
Catherine @ Book Club Librarian
Dreamweaver Trail and The Sound of Broken Glass caught my eye. Hope you enjoy them! Have a great, and productive, week!

I’m looking forward to Dreamweaver Trail! It will be a while before I get to The Sound of Broken Glass. I love Crombie, but I’m 6 or 7 books behind.

Great book haul, A Duty to the Dead catches my eye. And The Sound of Broken Glas. Congrats on your giveaway win 🙂
Have a great week and Happy Reading!
My Sunday post is here
Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard
I’ve been wanting to start the Bess Crawford series by Charles Todd, so when the first one went on sale for Kindle, well… how could I resist? And I love Crombie’s mysteries, even if I am behind on the series at this point.
