The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures – I mean books!
My Week
Happy Easter, to those of you who celebrate it! And Chag Sameach to those who have been celebrating Passover! We’ll be having a quiet Easter afternoon today, after singing four services in as many days. (Both Mr. Bookwyrm and I sing in our church choir. Holy Week keeps us pretty busy!) Thankfully, I’ve gotten over last week’s virus enough to sing, though the top of my range isn’t back to normal yet. And spring has finally arrived: the forsythia are blooming, a few of the flowering trees are blooming or about to, and the early daffodils are out.
I got a fair bit of reading in the last few weeks, much of it favorite re-reads but a book that comes out next week as well. I’ll store up some of the re-read reviews for an as-needed “cushion.” I also did some brainstorming about possible non-review posts, so with luck I can squeeze out some time to write up a few of those as well. And I’m slowly making my way through the backlog of comments that I missed when things were busy and while I was sick. I’ve gone from over 80 unanswered comments to under 30, and kept up with all the new ones as well. I’ve even been able to visit some blogs! Things are about to get frantically busy again, but hopefully I can keep up. 🙂

The forsythias, cherry trees, apple trees are blooming here too so we finally have this “springtime” vibe going on in spite of the horrid weather. We also have muscaris and wallflowers that smell so good… Happy Easter and Chag Sameach to you too 😉

Sounds beautiful! But I’ll have to go look up muscaris – I don’t recognize those. Have a lovely day! (ETA: I looked them up, and they are what I know as “grape hyacinths” – but I haven’t seen any here in a while, for some reason. The periwinkle [wild vinca] is blooming in the woods, though!)

Here’s what muscaris look like : http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1a/Muscari_armeniacum_4.jpg
Sorry, I thought it was the same word, should have written their name in latin, the universal language for plant lovers 😉

Yup – grape hyacinths! They’re pretty.

I have been so bad at replying and visiting this week! The days just keep getting away from me. Hoping my new blog schedule will help that. Just trying to get out of the lazies 🙂
Still looks like winter here 🙁 hoping the cherry blossoms come out soon, our entire town is full of them so once I see those I know it’s spring!
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Easter, My Friend! Enjoy the day! <3

It’s so easy to get behind on visiting and replying! No worries; you will get caught up, and if you don’t, it’s not the end of the world. 🙂
I hope you get spring soon, too! Have a terrific Easter, my friend!

Great looking books! You have been busy and darn that’s a lot of singing. I’m glad you’re feeling better.
