The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures – I mean books!
My Week
I spent this week working, and sometimes avoiding working by writing up some reviews and spending way too much time on Tumblr. Oops. But at least now I’ve got a few more reviews scheduled ahead – two for next week, and two in the middle of May. I’ve got to crack down on my work habits in the coming week, though; I’ve got a project due Thursday morning and another due a week and a half after that. So if I’m a little slow to answer comments or stop by for a visit this week, please be patient with me! I will get back to you, I promise.
Speaking of replying to comments, is anyone else having problems with the Comments Not Replied To plugin since the most recent WordPress.org upgrade? Mine’s not working anymore. 🙁

Purchased for Kindle
Have a great week, everybody, and happy reading!
Yani @ Paper Boulevard
You order in Kindle? Is it way more comfortable or cheaper or other than purchasing a physical book? 🙂 You’re such a versatile reader BTW! You read different genres. So great! I saw one familiar book to me here, Snow Like Ashes! <3

I buy some books in print, some as ebooks. A lot of the Kindle books I buy are on sale (all of this week’s except Linnets and Valerians, which I love and just wanted an e-copy of.) And most of the ebooks I buy are either books or authors I want to try but don’t know if I will like (like Snow Like Ashes) so I’d rather not spend full price on them – I keep an eye on the Kindle Daily Deals and other sales, and only get the “try-it-out” books on deep sale. When I buy full-price (or nearly full-price) ebooks, like Linnets and Valerians, they are either old favorites that I want an easily portable copy of, or they are new-to-me titles by authors I love. I’ve pretty much stopped buying new paperback romances, because I’m running out of shelf space – I just buy my romances in ebook now.
Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library
I love Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? The concept is just so smart. I haven’t read any Elizabeth Goudge so I’m looking forward to your reviews. Tumblr is black hole I don’t want to get to close to because I know I’ll fall in! Have a great week!

Have you ever seen the 1980 TV miniseries they made of that book? Francesca Annis and James Warwick (the same actors who played Tommy & Tuppence) as Frankie and Bobby – and the redoubtable Sir John Gielgud played Bobby’s father. Well worth watching, and they stayed surprisingly close to the book.

They certainly can! But such pretty pictures – of books, of libraries, of places I want to go (or visit again) – not to mention all the fandom stuff!

I’d appreciate it! I submitted a trouble ticket to the plugin’s author (at least I tried to), so hopefully they can figure out what’s wrong.
Rita @ View From My Home
Nice week for you! Sorry you will be busy with work, but hey real life does interrupt our reading sometimes, lol. I responded on your post about S. Kearlsey. Such a wonderful night you had! Now I want to read her newest book. Your gift basket looks so scrumptious. I love throws like that too, but it will be covered with the mandatory cat hair in our house, ha.
Have a good week and hope to chat with you soon! {I linked you as one of my fave sites to visit for book news in my top tabs bar if you check it out}.

Oh, the throw is so soft and nice – but it soon be covered with cat hair here, too. (What’s a blanket without cat hair?) Oh, and thanks for the link – much appreciated!

You have so many books I’ve not heard of. That’s always a treat for me!
I spend too much time on Pinterest. I get so deep into it I forget to come up for air. LOL

Pinterest and Tumblr are both rabbit holes – but such interesting ones!
Leeanna @ Leeanna.me
Oh Tumblr is so dangerous, but I’m finding that I learn a LOT on it.
Comments Not Replied To might need an update, I’d see if there are any posts about it not working with the WordPress update: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/comments-not-replied-to

Yes, I’ve learned a fair bit on Tumblr too. And I appreciate how aware many posters are of social justice issues and mental health issues. Maybe it’s just the people I tend to follow, but I see a lot of open-mindedness and caring there, and it gives me hope.

I haven’t been on NetGalley and almost missed Carr’s new book, thankfully some else grabbed it too, so now it is happily on my Nook. I don’t use comment reply, I use Comment Luv’s system. Hopefully it gets resolved. Now no more tumblr ..get to work lady!

Aaagh, I am so late answering this post’s comments! Mea culpa, and I’m sorry! I hope you can find a copy of Still Life – though I haven’t managed to find time to read mine, yet, so I can’t tell you if it’s good or not.
