Graphic: Books I Wanted to Read in 2023 But Didn't Get To

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme was originally the brainchild of The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get To.

Top Ten Books I Meant to Read in 2023 but Didn’t Get Around To (Or Haven’t Finished Yet)

I hope to read most of these in 2024. Some are ARCs, but others are books I just really wanted to read, but didn’t have access to in 2023. In some cases, I’m on the hold list at the library, so it’s just a question of when my holds come in.

Babel: An Arcane History, by R. F. Kuang (Aug. 23, 2022) – hibernating/in progress

Claws and Contrivances, by Stephanie Burgis (July 10, 2023) – hibernating/in progress

Bookshops and Bonedust, by Travis Baldree (Nov. 7, 2023) – received for Christmas 2023, so I’ll be able to read it soon!

Inheritance, by Nora Roberts (Nov. 21, 2023)

A Sinister Revenge, by Deanna Raybourn (Mar. 7, 2023)

The Chalice of the Gods, by Rick Riordan (Sept. 26, 2023)

Chaos Terminal, by Mur Lafferty (Nov. 7, 2023) – ARC

What the River Knows, by Isabel Ibañez (Nov. 14, 2023)

Psyche and Eros, by Luna McNamara (May 25, 2023) – ARC

The October Witches, by Jennifer Claessen (UK: Sept. 1, 2022. US: Aug. 29, 2023)

Thank you for reminding me about The October Witches! I put it on my Goodreads TBR right after it published in September 2022, but it wasn’t available for US purchase at that time. I checked a couple times more and it still wasn’t available. I checked again just now and Hoopla has it! I’m excited. 😃
