If you love mysteries and can hardly wait for your favorite author’s next book, you’ve probably spent hours trolling Amazon, publisher, and author websites trying to figure out when that book will be available. (I certainly have!) Thanks to Ashley McConnell, you won’t have to waste a lot of time on such searches any more. Ms. McConnell maintains The Bloodstained Bookshelf, a simple but extremely useful website of forthcoming mystery titles. Organized by month, then alphabetically by author, the site lists forthcoming mysteries, along with publisher, price, and whether the book is a re-release (if known.) The list currently runs through June or July of 2012, and while there is no search function at this time, the list format makes it fairly easy to skim for a particular author. Do bear in mind that release dates are always subject to change, so nothing on this list is writ in stone. Nonetheless, it is a treat to have so much information on forthcoming mysteries gathered in a single place. I’ll be bookmarking this site and checking it monthly.
