It’s World Book Day! The UK and Ireland are celebrating their version of Children’s Book Day, but there’s no reason those of us outside those countries can’t join in the fun. Here are some suggestions for celebrating:
- Read aloud to a child.
- Re-read one of your childhood favorites.
- Go to the library or bookstore and see what’s new and great in children’s books.
- Get creative – make a book-related craft, cook, or bake something with your child(ren). The internet is a storehouse of ideas, from Jan Brett coloring pages to Snowy Day-style collage art.
