August 18, 2019 Sunday Post 5

The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!

Last Week

I’m still mostly offline, although I did get a News & Notes post out. The cozy mystery community is grieving the loss of Lea Wait, author of the Mainely Needlepoint, Shadows Antique Print, and Maine Murder mystery series.

I’ll try to catch you up on what I’ve been doing next weekend. Meanwhile, I hope you are all having a wonderful August!

Last Week on the Blog

What I’m Reading/Watching

Reading: I read Meant To Be Yours (Susan Mallery; ARC) and finished rereading the Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts. Then I read Haunted and Ghost Walk, the first two books in the Harrison Investigations series by Heather Graham.  I probably should get back to Dragonfell soon(Sarah Prineas, ARC.)

Listening to:  I didn’t actually listen to any books this week, but I’ll get back to Quiet in a week or two.

Watching: I haven’t watched much of anything, either.

It’s rather ironic, isn’t it? But listening to someone read is still a more quiet activity than, say, attending a lecture or a class… or a party.

I was so sad to read of Lea Waite’s death. I so love her books and feel like I just discovered her. Lots of interesting books this week! I’ve never read that Roberts trilogy somehow and I’m trying to get in some older Graham books. Have a great week!
