The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!
Last Week
This year, we splurged on tickets to the 2019-2020 season of Broadway musicals in Richmond. To be honest, we did it mostly so we could see Hamilton in November, but we are excited about the other shows as well. Tuesday night, we drove down to Richmond, had dinner in a little cafe, and saw the first of the season’s touring shows, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was a fun evening.
I’m starting to get the hang of WordPress’s “Gutenberg” block editor, thanks to some helpful fellow bloggers. A special shout-out to Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer, who gave me several good tips and pointed me toward a few useful plugins. This post was composed in the “classic editor”, but yesterday’s News & Notes is was done in Gutenberg, as was my WIP Wedneday post. I’ve still got some glitches to work out, but I’m getting there. The worst problem currently is that my posts aren’t posting when they are scheduled. It’s probably a cron problem, according to Google. As soon as I get time, I’ll call my webhost’s tech support and get help sorting it out.

What I’m Reading/Watching
Reading: I reread The Liar, one of my favorite Nora Roberts books, then finished The Book Charmer by Karen Hawkins (ARC.) Now I’m rereading Whiskey Beach, another Nora Roberts novel.
Listening to: A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan. So far I’m enjoying it.
Watching: As I said above, we went to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the Broadway musical) on Tuesday. Other than that, we’ve been watching some of the “appendices” that came with our extended editions of the Hobbit movies — extra material, mostly “making of” stuff. It’s interesting to see how movies are made, particularly with my theater background.

For Review or Review Consideration
Many thanks to Avon for sending me these lovely historical romances!
Purchased for Kindle
I don’t think I bought a single Kindle book this week. How did I manage that?!

That’s awesome that you get to see all those Broadway musicals, so much to look forward to!
Anne - Books of My Heart
I have bought a bunch of Nora Roberts books over the last year and now I just need to read them. I love musicals. I used to be a season ticket holder at the Guthrie Theater for over 20 years. They mostly weren’t musicals but I enjoyed the plays and an evening out. It gave me a reason to try to go out when it is so much easier to stay home. Good luck with the blog updating. Have a wonderful week and happy reading!

Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
I remember hearing a ton about Gutenberg awhile back, but then it sort of fell off my radar. Do you know, are we all going to be forced to switch at some point?

I’m still avoiding Gutenberg, I don’t find it iPad friendly which is what I post with.
Have a great reading week

Oh Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sounds like such a fun play to see. I need to reread or at least listen to The Liar. It was a favorite and I’ve really been enjoying listening to some of my favorite Roberts. Have a great week!

I don’t know if this is your problem, but I keep forgetting / am too lazy to change my “local” time when we have Daylight Saving Time, so I’m off by an hour for about half the year. 🙂
My family did the same thing with season tickets for the express purpose of seeing Hamilton a while back when they first went on tour, and it was so worth it. I hope you enjoy all the shows!

I love watching “the making of” clips for movies. 👍✨
I hope you had a wonderful week. 🌞
