Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme was originally the brainchild of The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Ten Books I Bought Because…
I decided to list ten fantasy and fairy tale books I have bought on impulse from the library booksale over the last ten years… just because they looked interesting. I haven’t read any of these yet, but still hope to read at some point. In fact, now that I’ve pulled them off the shelf to look at them again, I might add a few of them to this years’ spring & summer TBR!

- A Curse Dark as Gold (Elizabeth C. Bunce)
- Stealing the Elf-King’s Roses (Diane Duane)
- The Saint of Dragons (Jason Hightman)

- Star of the Morning (Lynn Kurland)
- Guenevere: Queen of the Summer Country (Rosalind Miles)
- Dragonspell (Donita K. Paul)

- Bella at Midnight (Diane Stanley)
- A College of Magics (Caroline Stevermer)
- Classic Folk Tales From Around the World
- Irish Fairy Tale Omnibus (Michael Scott)

All of these fairy tales look quite interesting.

Fantasy books have the best covers and these are all gorgeous! I love the fairy look to many of them! I don’t read much of the genre but I always love looking at the covers.

These do look fun! I want to read Stealing the Elf King’s Roses too, I really enjoy Diane Duane’s work.

I haven’t read any of these, but I do remember impulse-buying a little book called A Game of Thrones many years ago!

You were ahead of the curve! 😉

I can see why you’d grab these at a library sale. I mean, who wouldn’t? ;D

Ooo, some of those covers do look good. I like Lynn Kurland though I prefer her romances to her fantasies. Happy reading!

Bella at Midnight! I have not heard about that in an age. I remember reading it in college and thinking it was above average considering I didn’t usually read that genre, though the plot details escape me.
