Top Ten Books on My Summer TBR

June 20, 2023 Top Ten Tuesday 14

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme was originally the brainchild of The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Books on My Summer 2023 to-Read List.

Top Ten Eleven Books on My Summer TBR

Murder at the Serpentine Bridge, by Andrea Penrose

Murder at the Merton Library, by Andrea Penrose (ARC; forthcoming)

Murder Most Royal, by S. J. Bennett (ARC; forthcoming)

Psyche and Eros, by Luna McNamara

Upon a Summer’s Day, by Celia Lake (forthcoming)

Shoemaker’s Wife, by Celia Lake (forthcoming)

Claws and Contrivances, by Stephanie Burgis (ARC; forthcoming)

The Witch is Back, by Sophie H. Morgan (ARC; forthcoming)

Valour and Vanity, by Mary Robinette Kowal

A Sinister Revenge, by Deanna Raybourn

Trapped, by Kevin Hearne

And maybe some of these:

I’m a dyed-in-the-wool mood reader, so I’ll be lucky to get half of these read this summer, even just counting the top 11, but (crosses fingers) here’s hoping!

I’m participating in a series read-along for the Iron Druid books, which makes it even more fun to read them. We’ve had some good conversations so far, although I missed one or two for unavoidable reasons. I’m trying to catch up now, before the July chat for Trapped.

I can’t wait to see what all you read this summer! I really want to read Andrea Penrose’s series and I love the Veronica Speedwell series.

  2. Louise @ Foxes and Fairy Tales

I’m really looking forward to Claws and Contrivances when it come out, I was totally hooked by the first one. I highly recommend A Marvellous Light too, I’m actually planning to reread it soon.

Wow lots of murder in your future ha ha. Psyche and Eros was on my list this week too. I read A Marvellous Light last year and I did enjoy it but I do think my expectations were somewhat too high as I was slightly disappointed. Haven’t read the second book yet.
