Sunday Post — 6/30/13

June 30, 2013 Sunday Post, Sunday Salon 16

The Sunday Post is a meme sponsored by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.  It’s a chance to share news.  A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

I didn’t get as many reviews out as I wanted to this week, due to hitting the final week of my work project.  It’s due mid-week next week, after which I may get a breather.

Next Saturday is my 4th blogoversary!  I didn’t begin blogging consistently until about a year and a half ago, but I started this blog on 7/06/09.  I’m still deciding how I want to celebrate.  Any ideas?

The past week on the blog:

The coming week:

I got Frankestein this week too–though I read this in high school. I’m sure I’ll re-read it at some point. Also, I really want to read The Iron Druid series. Those look good. Happy reading!

I’ve been enjoying the Hearne books so far! Book 3, Hammered, is a bit darker, and there’s a slower section in the early second half; I haven’t finished it yet.

As for Frankenstein, I’m embarrassed to say I haven’t read it (yet.) It skirts a bit close to horror for me. I still haven’t decided whether to listen to the audiobook, or read it.

I read a bunch of the Pennyfoot Hotel books years and years ago, and liked them. I thought this was a good chance to revisit them; maybe I’ll re-read the whole series.

Thank you, Jennifer! I missed your blogoversary (I’ve been working really hard this weekend) so I just popped over and congratulated you. 🙂

My first few years were pretty erratic, so I’m not sure they count, exactly.

It’s a fun series. At least, the first two were — very funny as well as very action-packed. The third one still has funny moments but it is darker. I’m enjoying it as much, but not quite in the same way.

          Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you, Laurel-Rain! Yes, I’m thinking about a giveaway, but haven’t figured out what it should be, yet. Most of my ARCs are e-ARCs, which I can’t really give away. But I’ll come up with something, or maybe somethings!

Unlocking the Truth looks good and congrats on your Blogoversery. Giveaways are always nice and may generate some new followers. Glad the project will be done Weds and you can relax a little. Have a lovely week! The Sunday Post

Thank you, Kimba! I’ve already peeped into Unlocking the Truth, and I think it will be good. I’m thinking about a giveaway for the blogoversary, but haven’t quite decided what, yet. Gotta get this project done first! Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats on your blogoversary. I’m impressed you’ve been at it for four years.

I downloaded the first Hearnes book this week and look forward to it. Do Not Disturb looks cute. I haven’t read any of them.

I’m not entirely sure I can say I’ve been at it for four years! The first year or two, I would go months without posting anything. But it’s still hard to believe I started it four years ago.

Enjoy Hounded! The series has been fun so far.
