The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures – I mean books!
My Week
Robin went home yesterday. We had a good but quiet week – she shared the musical Hamilton with us (wow!), we spent an afternoon having tea with family friends, we did a little shopping (not her favorite activity, nor mine, but we found matching Hogwarts shirts!), we played games and watched TV, and she and her dad went for a walk in a local state park. (I stayed home with a cold.) Next weekend, we’ll all meet up for a long weekend to celebrate my mother’s birthday.
The first rehearsal for my choruses went well and the second rehearsal is this afternoon. I love working with these kids! It will be interesting to lead a rehearsal with no voice, though. 😉
I’ve been in a reviewing slump for weeks — just haven’t been able to think of anything to say! — but I’m trying to climb out of it and get some reviews written for all the books I’ve been reading. I finally got one done this week, which I posted Thursday. Hopefully I can get more written in the coming week, so I can go back to posting at least two reviews per week.

Scandal Takes the Stage features a character who really intrigued me in the first book.

Quiet weeks can be good sometimes! And least you’re coming out of a reviewing slump, I know how you feel on that front! Have a great week and happy reading!

Thank you, Laura! It’s funny that I’m coming out of a slump at the same time that I’ve been knocked sideways by a cold, but I think it was having Robin around for the week — it cheered me up!

Glad you had a good week. And good luck with the slump- hope it’s short lived! Sometimes writing reviews just takes a back seat. 🙂
I like that cover of eye of the Beholder.

That’s an older one — around 1999 or 2001, I forget which. I’ve been reading a lot of Krentz’s backlist recently.

You’re so good about not getting a bunch of new books! I have got to work on that myself. 🙂 Hope you have a good week coming up! YOu can check out my Sunday post in the link below!

I’ve been trying to cut way back on NetGalley books. This was a quiet week for Kindle bargains, too. Some weeks I’m not nearly this good! 😉

You know, I don’t have any Hogwarts or HP clothing. How can this be? Glad you’re coming out of your slump. I recently crawled out of mine too.

I didn’t have any either, except a couple of unofficial t-shirts from TeeFury. So I was tickled to find a shirt that fit me, with the Hogwarts crest on it. 🙂 And here’s to getting out of slumps!
