Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating it today!
I am thankful for all my blog friends and readers! And I’m thankful for books, and for eyes to read them and ears to listen to them, for the education and intelligence to understand them, and for easy access to them. It’s so easy to take all those things for granted; today, I’m taking time to acknowledge how blessed I am.
Of course, I’m also deeply thankful
for the people whose presence in my life brings such joy: my wonderful husband, our beloved child, our loving extended family, and a caring circle of friends near and far.
for the abundance with which I’ve been blessed: a warm, safe, comfortable home; plenty of food; clean water; and everything I truly need.
for safety and health, and for the many people (most unknown to me) who safeguard them.
for the other things that bring me joy: music, laughter, the beauty of nature, and the pleasure of crafting things with my own two hands.
May you and all those you love be blessed with abundance and joy, this season and always. And may we all remember and share with those in need.

On the whole, I did! Nice and relaxing: we cooked together and ate when it was done, instead of trying to hit an arbitrary dinner time.
