In the Dragon’s Eye is where I share the books I’ve got my acquisitive eye on: the ones I’m really excited about and hope to read and perhaps add to the hoard.  I also link to “Waiting On” Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the SpineCover links take you to Goodreads; all blurbs are also from Goodreads.

Wired and Nerve (Marissa Meyer)

Lunar Chronicles: Wires and Nerve #1
Feiwel & Friends: Hardcover, 1/31/2017
In her first graphic novel, bestselling author Marissa Meyer extends the world of the Lunar Chronicles with a brand-new, action-packed story about Iko, the android with a heart of (mechanized) gold. When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers’ leader. She is soon working with a handsome royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love, loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder and the rest of the Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the bestselling series.

Why I want to read it:

1. I absolutely loved the 4 main novels of the Lunar Chronicles (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter.)
2. Iko is a terrific character, an android with a glitch in her programming that makes her very human.
3. There was the tiniest hint (near the end of Winter) of a possibility of a romance for Iko, and I would love to see that play out.
4. Seriously, I’ll take almost any excuse to spend more time with these characters!
5. I haven’t really gotten into graphic novels yet, but this seems like a really good place to start.
