Summary: I completed a total of 13 books in April, of which 1 was an ARC, 2 were first-time reads, and 11 were rereads. I posted 1 review of a book I read in March (The Martian Contingency), and no reviews of books read earlier than that. Of the 11 books I reread in April, 4 were books I had already reviewed on the blog before now. This was not a good month as far as reviews go, and it wasn’t great for reading, either.

Challenges

Here’s the breakdown of my reading challenges this year so far:

Other Goals and Resolutions

Writing: Days I wrote: X . Number of words written: X. I need to do better in May!

Prioritizing reading and writing time over screen time: I failed this one badly this month, spending far too much time doomscrolling or playing games to escape.

Review more of the books I read: This too did not go well; I only wrote and posted 1 review. I hope to catch up a bit in May.

Unpack and reorganize my book collection: This is occurring alongside cataloging my books, so it’s limited to the pace at which I can catalog them. It’s slow (I’m working on a post about why.)

Catalog my books: I’m making progress, but slowly, for reasons I’ll explain in a future post.
