The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly at Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!

Sometimes I also participate in The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz, Stacking the Shelves hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality, and It’s Monday! What Are You Reading (#IMWAYR) hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date.
The Past Week
In real life: We worked our tails off the previous week and this week through Wednesday morning, but it was worth it. The house looked really good when the realtor and the photographer came on Wednesday. I took the afternoon off from working on the house to relax a little and recharge.
The house officially went on sale on Friday. We had two showings on Friday and one scheduled for today, but none on Saturday, which was wet and gloomy. Hopefully the house sells quickly and close to the asking price.
Keeping the house in perfect condition is now my full-time job… while also continuing to pack. We’re down to a bare minimum of furniture left in the house, and of what’s left, neither the bed nor the sofa are coming with us, since both need replacing. We still need to pack most of our clothes for storage, keeping out only what we’ll absolutely need for winter and spring. (Hopefully we will find a new house and be moved in by the time we need hot-weather clothes again.) I still have more books to pack, but of course we won’t pack our tech or the remaining bedding and kitchen stuff until we are preparing to leave the house.

What I’ve Been Reading/Watching

Reading: I finished rereading Blood Magick (reviewed XX), the third book in the Cousins O’Dwyer trilogy by Nora Roberts. Now I’m rereading Under Currents by Nora Roberts—my second and possibly last time reading this novel. I like the main characters and most of the secondary ones, but the plot centers around survivors of domestic violence, something I find very disturbing to read about. (Not because of personal experience, I hasten to add.)
Listening to: I decided to continue with my Tamora Pierce reread, so I listened to First Test, book #1 in the Protector of the Small quartet, then book #2, Page. I’ll start book #3, Squire, today.

For Review or Consideration

Many thanks to Ace (Berkley) for inviting me to read Witches of Questionable Intent and By the Light of the Stars! The first was already on my fall TBR wishlist, since I really liked the first book. The second is new to me, but looks intriguing, with its Leia-and-Han vibes… although I didn’t realize until after I had downloaded it that it is the first book in a series. But that’s OK; I’m better at being patient than I used to be!
Purchased or Free

Kindle:
PREORDERS FULFILLED: A Waltz of Sinister Import; The Ghost and Mrs. Holloway.
SALE: The Hocus Pocus Handbook; The Society of Unknowable Objects; Under Currents; The Tropic of Serpents; Voyage of the Basilisk; In the Labyrinth of Drakes; Within the Sanctuary of Wings; The Writer’s Little Book of Naming; The Writer’s Little Book of Research; Trio of Sorcery; Divine by Mistake. (The last one wasn’t on sale, but I used a Kindle Rewards credit to bring it down to $3.99. Fun book, which I had in Kindle years ago, before the original edition was pulled. I’m more than a bit steamed about that, but I wanted to reread it. I much prefer the original cover, though.)

Fingers crossed your house sells quickly. Have you found a new house yet? I can’t remember if you said or not. Good luck with all of it! 😀

Ooh, The Hocus Pocus Handbook looks like a lot of fun! I somehow missed that one’s release last month.
I hope the house sale (and then the house purchase) goes well! At least the hard part of getting everything ready is over now.

I feel you with the selling the home. Each time we moved, my husband was relocated and I was left home with three kids and keeping the house perfect and packing. Next time will be the last and he’ll be here to help. Hoping you have a quick sale!
