The Bookwyrm is back with a new design!

Appare liberdraconis!

The Bookwyrm’s Hoard has a whole new look – and the bookwrym is back! The header art is by a young acquaintance of mine, Christin J., and the header design is by Michelle from Because Reading. I think they both did a terrific job!  Christin used photos of my little shelf-sitter dragon/bookwyrm as inspiration, but took it in a whole new direction – almost exactly what I’ve had in my head for ages but couldn’t find anywhere. And Michelle figured out how to fit the text in and make it work as a header. I am so thankful to both of them!

I spent the day today changing the color scheme to go with the new header – part of my goals for Bloggiesta. It’s still a work in progress, so please poke around a bit and tell me what you think.  I’m open to constructive criticism and suggestions!

Didn’t they just?! I really like it! I haven’t exactly been away, but the bookwyrm disappeared for a while when I switched to WordPress. I used to use a photo as my header, but I knew I was going to switch to a drawing after I switched to WordPress, so I just used the Tweak Me theme the way Ashley set it up until the header was ready to go. 🙂

Thank you, Kelly! I think you might know the young artist – she’s in the homeschool group. 🙂 She did a great job on the little dragon!

I’m so glad you like it! I wanted to customize it earlier, but figured I would wait and do it once I had the header I wanted. I’m pretty happy with the results!

I missed my little dragon, too – I’m so glad to have him back!

I checked out your TTT list – great choices! I love the Eddings series but didn’t discover it until I was almost out of college, so I didn’t include it here even though I do still re-read the books every few years. The Crystal Cave and The Hollow Hills were favorites of mine in high school. I haven’t re-read them in at least 20 years; it’s probably time I did!

I think so too! It took me hours to get all the color choices done on the page to go with the header, and there are still things I’ll tweak, but I’m really pleased with how it looks. And Robin (my daughter) says that it’s very me. 🙂
