Worth Reading/Viewing

TV and Movie News

  • Beverly Jenkins Is Trailblazing Her Way onto Television (Book Riot) “Forbidden, the first novel in her Old West series, [has] been optioned by Sony Pictures Television in a first look deal via the Ripped Bodice partnership that was announced last year.” Jenkins writes wonderful historical romances featuring black and POC characters, and Forbidden is one of my favorites. I can’t wait to see this onscreen!
  • Clifford Starts a New TV Adventure. Clifford the Big Red Dog is coming back to the screen, this time on both Amazon Prime Video and PBS Kids. (Publishers Weekly)

2020 Reading Challenges

Awesome Lists

  • The 25 Most Anticipated SFF Books of 2020 (Tor.com) They left off a few good ones, notably the next-in-series Wayward Children and Murderbot books. But it’s a good list, with some promise-to-be epic books on it: the start of an adult series by Sarah J. Maas, a new Victoria Schwab, the next Lady Astronaut book by Mary Robinette Kowal, a new series by Rebecca Roanhorse, and a lot more.

My library did away with the fines too, and for the same reason. It makes sense.

I’ll be doing the POPSUGAR challenge again in 2020, and I might join your Backlist Reader challenge again this year too! Though if I do, I think I want to keep it to only physical books I own prior to the start of 2020. I want to make a dent in my physical TBR shelf.
