The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!
Last Week
Happy New Year! It’s 2020! We’ve had a wonderful Christmas vacation in New Mexico with my parents, our Robin, and my sister’s family. Now we’re headed home — time to get back to work and start on our New Year’s resolutions. I have several. I want to declutter the house (I say it every year, but this year I am determined to make a significant dent.) I want to get more exercise and get more (and better) sleep. And I want to spend less time online, and more doing real things (reading, creating, spending time with Mr. Bookwyrm, family, and friends.
I have book-related resolutions, too, of course, and I’ll talk about those in a future post.

What I’m Reading/Watching
Reading: I finished rereading Take a Thief by Mercedes Lackey, but that’s all I have read this week. Honestly, I’ve been having so much fun with my family (and working on end-of-year blog posts and tasks) that I haven’t had a lot of time to read. Hopefully that will change once I get back to “normal” life. (Click the title for my review, written several years ago.)
Listening: Once I get home, I plan to start listening again to The Wilhelm Conspiracy, the second book in the “Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James” series.
Watching: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (first 4 episodes), which is really good. I plan to keep watching it. We also watched two movies I had never seen: Whale Rider and Deadpool. And I’m looking forward to more Warehouse 13 when we get home.
Playing: Pounce (a fast-paced card game — think multiplayer, highly-competitive double solitaire on steroids) and Carcassonne, a strategy board game.

I am glad to hear you had a nice holiday! I took a couple of days off, but had to work most of the time. My mom was in town and was able to spend time with my daughter (and save us childcare), which was nice. She left for home today.
I haven’t watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but I want to. I am glad you are enjoying it. Your new books all look good. I hope you enjoy them!
I’ve been following the RWA fiasco–what a mess!
I hope you have a great week!

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is on my TBW list but well, life has been hectic lately. I am glad you had a great new year’s eve and hope you will do great in your resolutions.
We went to the nearby beach to watch the fireworks and then had a quiet night inside.
Happy New Year!

Your holiday sounds wonderful – what a treat to be somewhere warm at this time of year… Wishing you well with the decluttering – it’s something we urgently need to do, too. Happy New Year, Lark.

I’m glad you had a fun Christmas with your family, Lark. It’s such a special time of the year and so good to have family to share the special time. Decluttering and more exercise are on my list for 2020, too.
I hope you have a really nice week!

I’m glad you had a lovely holiday with family. I love your resolutions. I have had the declutter resolution for oh 5 years or so, but I am actually doing it in 2019-20 with the move. I got rid of some things before the move and I am getting rid of things we don’t need now that I am setting things up afterward. It feels great.
Have a great week back to normal and enjoy your reads!

Hubs and I loved Mrs Maisel 🙂 And Deadpool is always a favorite. Have you seen Detective Pikachu? Ryan Reynolds voice makes me think of Deadpool all the way through. LOL

Ms. Maisel is absolutely wonderful! I love the era and her story so much! I’m with you on the decluttering. I tried to do that with a challenge in December and was somewhat successful, but I still have a long way to go.(lol) I don’t know where all this stuff comes from!(lol) Then I added 38 books from the library! Spending time with family is always the best, and glad you were able to do that over the holidays, and nothing wrong with romance and more romance with hubby. Hugs and Happy New Year!
