Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature/meme now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The meme was originally the brainchild of The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2025.
New Books I’m Most Excited For, July–December 2025

- A Tarnished Canvas, by Anna Lee Huber (6/24/2025) – ARC
- A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping, by Sangu Mandanna (7/15/2025) – ARC
- The Enchanted Greenhouse, by Sarah Beth Durst (7/15/2025) – preordered
- Harmonic Pleasure, by Celia Lake (8/08/2025) – preordered
- A Silence in Belgrave Square, by Jennifer Ashley (8/12/2025) – ARC
- Murder at Somerset House, by Andrea Penrose (9/30/2025)
- Higher Magic, by Courtney Floyd (10/07/2025)
- The Hidden City, by Charles Finch (11/04/2025)
- Brigands & Breadknives, by Travis Baldree (11/11/2025)
- The Queen Who Came In From the Cold, by S.J. Bennett (11/11/2025)
- The Seven Rings, by Nora Roberts (11/18/2025)
- The Marriage Method, by Mimi Matthews (11/25/2025)
- The Cyprian, by Mercedes Lackey (12/09/2025)
All but two of these are continuations of series I already love. The Mimi Matthews book is #2 in a new series; I love her books, and I’m looking forward to reading the Crinoline Academy novel this summer. The only new-to-me author in the list is Courtney Floyd, but how can I resist “cozy dark academia” novel about a mage student with intense anxiety… a book Max Gladstone described as “replete with organizing, romance, anxiety, camaraderie, and courage.”

I hope you love all of them!

I’m also really looking forward to Brigands & Breadknives and The Enchanted Greenhouse! Higher Magic looks neat, too, though I haven’t heard of that one before. I’ll have to check it out!

I’m way behind in both the Huber and the Ashley series. I need to catch up already! I hope you enjoy all these.

We have several in common and there are several on your list that I missed. I’m looking forward to the Jennifer Ashley and Anna Lee Huber and the Andrea Penrose. The Sarah Beth Durst is high up on my TBR – I loved The Spellshop! And I’m so excited for the Nora Roberts book. This has been my favorite series from her for quite some time.
