Library Love Challenge 2025: Mid-Year Check-In and Savings

I signed up for the 2025 Library Love Challenge hosted by Angel’s Book Nook Books of My Heart. My goal was to buy fewer books and to support my local libraries by using them more. I signed up for a new library card from our county public library, and I pay a small fee to use the regional library system nearest us as well. (And by nearest, I mean about 25-30 minutes away. But the regional system is extensive, and their collection is a lot bigger than our county library.)

My goal is to read and review at least 12 library books in 2025.

So far this year, I’ve read or listened to 12 library books, which meets my goal (yay!) But I have only reviewed 4 of them so far (oops.) I’ll try to get at least some of those reviews written before the end of the year. And of course, I’ll keep borrowing books from the library!

If there’s a title link, it goes to my review. Some of these were first-time reads; some were rereads, but the first time I listened to the audiobook.

Total Savings: $144.79

I didn’t actually end up saving the entire $144.79, because The Mirror went on sale (Kindle) after I had read it, and I bought it for $4.99. But I know I will reread that series, probably several times, so it was worth buying. (Incidentally, the $7.49 audiobooks are priced that low because I already own the Kindle edition.)
