What a wonderfully delicious list! These posts are so bad for my wish list. I haven’t read anything by Jim C. Hines, but he’s on my to read list. I like the sound of the series his new book is a part of. One of my unspoken (except here) goals is to read the Lunar Chronicles next year. Stars Above sounds like it will be a good addition. All of the mysteries on your list have me salivating practically. Too many good sounding books coming out this next year.

I love the series, but I’m actually 2 books behind. I hope to finish all three this year… though I’ll be sad to see the end of the series. I hope you enjoy them!

I heard that Burgis was writing that one over a year ago, and I’ve been waiting for it ever since. I love well-done historical fantasy, and her MG “Kat Incorrigible” series is delightful. Masks and Shadows looks much more adult/complex/nuanced, so I think — I hope — it’s going to be amazing.

I know; I keep hoping it will live up to Romancing Mister Bridgerton and The Viscount Who Loved Me, which are my two favorites. But it’s Quinn, so it should be good no matter what.

I didn’t realize Elkins was still writing them, either. I’m sure I’ve missed some of the recent ones; I don’t remember reading as many as 18, which is what I think he’s up to. My library had a bunch, and I found some used, but I kind of lost interest for a while. For some reason, though, the idea of this one is really appealing.

  2. Danya @ Fine Print

I’ve been seeing Dreaming Death everywhere lately – it looks so good! It’s always a pleasure to see diversity in SFF. And I didn’t even realize that a new Bridgerton book was coming out! Thanks so much for bringing that to my attention, Lark! I’ll definitely need to pre-order that. 🙂

I hadn’t even come across Dreaming Death until I started looking into this year’s SF/F releases, but I am definitely excited for it now!

  3. La La in the Library

My sister reads The Lunar Chronicals and is always ready for the next book in the series. My most wanted book for 2016 is The Raven King, the last book in The Raven Cycle. Happy New Year. 🙂

    • Lark_Bookwyrm

My daughter is eager for The Raven King, but I’m waiting until it’s out to start the series. Stars Above is short stories from the Lunar Chronicles, but I didn’t get a chance to read most of them when they came out as ebooks so it will be great to have them all in one place.

  4. Linda

I’m very excited that book 4 of The Others, Marked in Flesh, by Anne Bishop will be released in March!

    • Lark_Bookwyrm

I’ve seen that on so many people’s lists this week! I didn’t include it because I haven’t read the series yet, but I may get around to it eventually. 🙂

  5. Jan @ Notes from a Readerholic

You have so many great books on this list, Lark. You’re adding lots of books to my 2016 list! I’m way behind on the Molly Murphy books so want to catch up with those and I didn’t realize a new Mary Russell book was coming out. Great list!

    • Lark_Bookwyrm

I’m really behind on the Molly Murphy mysteries, too — I started with The Edge of Dreams and haven’t read any of the ones that preceded it. But I’m up-to-date on the Mary Russell books and can’t wait for the new one! (Except that the title has me very nervous.)
