Sunday Post – 3/01/15

March 1, 2015 Sunday Post 18

The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimba, the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures – I mean books!

My Week

Monday I went to book group at the my county library, where a friend was talking about her book. (I’ll be reviewing for you all soon!) I’m considering joining the book club, but won’t have time to read the next book, as the next meeting is in 3 weeks and I am swamped.

Life, as it sometimes does, has gone from slow to hectic. Indexing work is picking up; my choruses are getting started next Sunday; and an large and unexpected (but interesting!) personal project has come my way as well. I may have to cut back a bit on blogging for a while – especially non-review posts like Top Ten Tuesday. We’ll see how it goes.

Indeed! Sorry for not replying at the time. Apparently I missed a bunch of comments around this time, and I’ve just discovered them. *blushes in embarrassment*

You sound swamped, Lark. I hope it slows down a little for you. You’ve got great-sounding posts for next week. Dreamwalker looks really interesting. Enjoy your choruses!

Too busy, apparently, or I would have discovered these unanswered comments before now. (Comments Not Replied To plugin broke and I’ve only just got it working again – I finally had to uninstall and reinstall.)

A very belated thank you for stopping by, Jess. I’ve only just discovered that I missed replying to a bunch of comments back in March… I”m so sorry.

Well, I fell in love with Tasha Alexander’s series! Sorry to be so very behind in answering this – apparently I missed several days worth of comments back in March. *blushes with shame*

I have no idea if it will be good or not, but I really like Rhys Bowen’s mysteries, so I thought I’d give it a try!

  2. Danya @ Fine Print

Book clubs can be fun, but sometimes getting scheduling stuff together can be really difficult! I’ve found that it’s easier to participate (and *stay* participating) in online book clubs, like the ones on GR and reddit. I’m intrigued by the title of your post on “good” endings! If you mean what I think you mean, then I agree. Guess I’ll have to check back and see. 😉

I’ll be curious to see your thoughts on Tasha Alexander- I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve read although some more than other. I don’t see a lot of reviews of her work, so I’ll be interested in your thoughts!

It’s just a family thing, something that needs my attention for a bit! I enjoy Susan Mallery’s books – they’re great for when I just need a break!
