Summary: I read or listened to 13 books in June, including 3 first-time reads (all ARCs) and 10 rereads. I posted 3 reviews of books I read earlier in 2026 (Once Upon a Tome, Apt to Be Suspicious, and Illusion of a Boar.) There are a lot of rereads due to an emotionally stressful first half of the month and the need to listen to something familiar whilst working on packing up the house or other pre-moving tasks.

Of the books I reread in June, 2 were books I had reviewed on the blog in previous years.

Challenges

Here’s the breakdown of my reading challenges this year so far:

• Goodreads Challenge: 57/125. I am 4 books behind schedule.
• Audiobook challenge: Listened to 21/15; reviewed 3/15. Several are books I had reviewed in previous years, so I probably won’t review them again unless I have strong feelings about the audio narration.
• COYER Out to Lunch Again challenge: Read 48/20; reviewed 7/20, with another review scheduled. (My personal challenge includes actually writing the review.)
• Library Love Challenge: Read 11/12; reviewed 1/12. Nine of the eleven are rereads.
• NetGalley & Edelweiss Challenge: Read 13/10; reviewed 3/10, with a fourth review scheduled.
• Robin’s Recs: Read 1/6; reviewed 0/6.

Other Goals and Resolutions

Unpack and reorganize Prune and pack my book collection: At this point, almost all of the pruning is done, and I’m focusing on cataloging and protecting dust jackets (see below.) Packing will start soon.

Catalog my books: I did well this month, but still slower than I would like. I’m afraid I won’t be able to finish them before I have to have everything packed up. Physical books catalogued so far (since I started in 2025): 1058, up from 932 at the end of May. The cataloging is still going more slowly because A) I have hit the shelves that have older books without ISBNs, which means more time looking them up and entering them manually; B) I have been putting dust jackets in archival plastic book cover protectors; C) I have been packing other things up for storage/moving, so I haven’t had as much time for cataloging; and D) I was out of town for a family reunion/vacation, so ditto. NOTE: About 1/4 to 1/3 of the books won’t get cataloged until after we move, because they were already packed up.
