The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!

This week I’m also participating in The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz, and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality.
The Past Week
In real life: The previous week’s illness began to improve on Monday, and by Tuesday evening, I felt almost back to normal, except for my energy levels. I’m still pretty tired; I needed a nap almost every day, though not yesterday. The best guess is that it was a virus; they still haven’t ruled out a mosquito-borne virus, and I am supposed to let them know if I have any new or recurring symptoms, or if the fatigue doesn’t lift. I’m seeing a primary-care doctor in my practice this week, anyway. And I hope to be back to indexing and exercising this week.
5 Good Things:
- It’s really nice to feel a bit better!
- I saw a female ruby-throated hummingbird feeding from the hostas in front of our porch…
- which only happened because (miracle of miracles) the deer have not yet eaten the hosta blooms this year. Usually we get one day of the flowers before the deer eat them all.
- I was finally able to accomplish a few minor tasks on Friday: a little unpacking from my trip, a load of laundry, some online birthday shopping for family members, some organizational stuff for the Tour de Fleece team I am co-leading.
- I’ve also gotten back to knitting. I wasn’t up to it while I was sick, but I’ve made good progress on my sock since Tuesday, and some progress on the KAL (knit-along) shawlette I’m knitting as well.
