The Sunday Post is hosted by the wonderful Kimberly, the Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news, recap the past week, take a look ahead, and showcase our new treasures—I mean books!

This week I’m also participating in The Sunday Salon hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz, and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Marlene at Reading Reality.
The Past Week
In real life: I’m off to a good start for Tour de Fleece! I have spun at least 20-30 minutes every day. I had a fiber guild meeting yesterday, and this afternoon, the Tour de Fleece group is meeting again.
I’m also making progress on my work projects. And I got back to writing blog posts: two mid-year challenge check-ins, a review, and a Top Ten Tuesday post.
5 Good Things:
- My spinning is going well.
- Saturday’s fiber guild meeting was great. I talked with a new member, helped a friend assess another friend’s new (used) spinning wheel, and chatted briefly with 10 or 15 other friends and acquaintances. Our guild is growing, and people are becoming more involved and engaged.
- I really enjoyed watching The Residence.
- It has been marginally cooler (80s instead of 90s.)
- Mr. Bookwyrm and I finally got my glass chair mat unpacked and set in place. Now I can finally set up my office again!

What I’ve Been Reading/Watching

Reading: I finished Carry On, reread The Fossil Door, and continued with Three Tales of Gabe & Rathna, a short novella-length collection of stories related to The Fossil Door. Then I finished up The Blonde Who Came In From the Cold by Ally Carter (ARC), which I had started in May but has been hibernating until now.
Listening to: I finished Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer. It’s wonderful; if you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. I also started listening to A Study in Death by Anna Lee Huber.
Watching: Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 5; and The Residence, which I loved. It’s clever and funny, sort of like Agatha Christie crossed with Knives Out and set in the White House. I loved the main character and some of the supporting characters. (CW for The Residence: there’s a lot of profanity.)
Playing: Wordle, Connections, Strands, Spelling Bee, and Sudoku (all from the NYT.) Digital Wingspan. I also discovered a new game called Clues by Sam, which is a daily logic puzzle, challenging enough to be interesting but not so hard as to feel impossible. I solved my first one in about 26 minutes; I hope to get better with practice.
